Bonnie Purdy

Bonnie L. Purdy, age 75, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at her home. She was born on November 8, 1941 at Winona, Missouri the daughter of Paul M. and Creado B. Bell Hunt. She married Russell Purdy at the Linn County Courthouse on January 4, 1971. This union lasted over forty-five years. Bonnie loved her family. She enjoyed embroidering and playing bingo. She was very active in the Pleasanton PTO while her kids were in school. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Paul, two sisters, Melba and Connie and a grandchild. Bonnie is survived by her husband Russell, three daughters: Sherry McCulley, Tina Bruce, and Twyla Purdy, one son Raymond Hunt, seven grand and eight great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Pleasanton First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
