Brandon Lee Metzner, age 34, Fort Scott, Kansas formerly of Mound City, Kansas passed away Friday, January 2, 2015. He was born on February 28, 1980 at Coffeyville, Kansas. He graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School in the Class of 1998. Despite dealing with many personal challenges throughout his adult life, Brandon always loved his family and friends. He enjoyed music, fishing, tinkering on projects, and working with his hands. Brandon was always looking for a new challenge. He is survived by his wife, Charity Ross, parents Tom and Shara Metzner, son Taylor Scott, daughter DeLaynee Metzner, brother, Dustin Metzner and wife Annie and their two children Emmalee and Hadlee, maternal grandmother, Loree Long, paternal grandmother, Annemarie Metzner, step son Aaran Mooney and wife Lexi, step daughters, Stephanie Mooney-Metzner and Breana Mooney, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Mound City Christian Church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
