Brenda Stevens

Brenda Stevens age 45 of Olathe, Kansas formerly of Pleasanton, Kansas died Thursday July 21, 2005 at the Olathe Medical Center. She was born on February 22, 1960 at Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Paul and Lydia Jo New Kurtz. She was baptized at the Pleasanton Baptist Church and recently attended the New Life Pentecostal Church. She married Virgil Stevens on March 1, 1977 at Belton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Jo Kurtz on October 2, 1996, and a grandson Travis Shaw on November 20, 2001. She is survived by her husband Virgil of the home, her father, Paul Kurtz, of Pleasanton; three daughters: Jennifer Shaw of Kansas City, Kansas, Crystal Stevens of Olathe, Kansas, and Gina Faulkner of Norfolk, Virginia; one sister Marsha Brown of Pleasanton, Kansas and six grandchildren: Bailie, Austin, Isaac, Paige, Nicholas and Wyatt. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday July 25, 2005 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Kansas. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Brenda Stevens Memorial and can be sent to the Coffel Schneider Funeral Home.
