Daniel Thies

Daniel Thomas "Danny" Thies, age 61, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 22, 1956 in Paola, Kansas the son of Martin and Gertrude Thies. He graduated from Louisburg High School. He married Terri Williams in 1985. Danny was self employed in the construction industry. Work was his favorite "hobby". However, he did enjoy going to the casino and taking long over the road vacations. He was preceded in death by his parents. Danny is survived by his wife, Terri, a son Jimmy Thies and wife Jill, two brothers, Bill and Steve Thies, a sister, Carol Dover and two grandchildren Madison and Zach. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:45 pm Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 6:45. Burial will be held privately in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
