Dear Family and Friends, We lost a beloved brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend on July 19th 2017. Darin tragically died from a heart attack in his sleep. He was living with his father, Larry and Larry''s wife, Laura in Kansas, experiencing the Kansas ranching, gardening, fishing lifestyle. Of course a day did not go by that he was not thinking of his favorite place on Earth, his backyard, the Pacific Ocean. Darin was a gentle soul, a giver, a good friend, and a lover of the ocean. He left this world much too early, leaving behind his mother and father Betty Lou and Larry, (Laura), sisters, Lisa, Deena (Scott), Kimi (Jesus), nephew, Blain, nieces Cambria and Kylie Star as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. We will miss his thoughtful words and his kind heart. "We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch, we are going back from whence we came." John F Kennedy. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. A funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 6:30 pm. Contributions are suggested to the Marine Corp Memorial Fund.
