Dorothy Largent

Dorothy L. Largent, 94, Overland Park, Kansas passed Thursday August 10, 2017 at Prescott Country View, Prescott, Kansas. She was born on August 16, 1922 on the farm north of Shelton, Nebraska. Dorothy graduated in 1939 from Shelton High School. She married Dale Largent in March of 1945. They made their home in Hastings, Nebraska, then moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 1955. She was a homemaker and also worked at Shawnee Mission West High School for many years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, of 56 years on March 23, 2000 and a brother Glenn Pope. She is survived by her 3 children: Rod and wife Marsha, Patty and partner Lynette, and Larry and wife Donna, 3 sisters: Loma Campbell, Ila Wood and Virginia Leubs, 3 grandchildren: Michael Largent, Allyson Largent and Amanda Gorman and 4 great grandchildren: Private family inurnment.
