Edith Ross

Edith Elizabeth Ross, age 92, of LaCygne, Kansas died Saturday March 28, 2009 at the Louisburg Care Center. She was born on February 10, 1917 at Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Edward Lee and Juley Ann Cox Cohee. She worked at the Lake City Ammunition Plant and later as a nurse's aid in different nursing homes. She was preceded in death by a son Richard Ross and a grandson Luke Alan Boone. Also preceding her were three sisters Roberta Johnson, Betty Cohee, and Helen Ginsburg. She is survived by three sons, Herb Pemberton and Barbara of LaCygne, Kansas, Larry Ross and Kay of Mound City, Kansas, and Kenny Ross of LaCygne; a daughter Dixie Boone and Jerry of LaCygne, one brother Bernard Cohee of Minnesota, one sister Della Wade and Royof LaCygne; nineteen grandchildren and forty two great grandchildren. Edith's wishes for cremation were honored by her family. A family inurnment will take place at a later date in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
