Edna Rosetta Gorman, age 100, Prescott, Kansas passed away on Monday January 28, 2013 at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born on October 12, 1912 at Blue Mound, Kansas the daughter of Lester and Bertha Casida Krull. She graduated from Mound City High School, Class of 1932. She married John "Bert" Gorman on August 29, 1942 at Escondido, California. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1989. Also preceding her were two sons, John "Eddie" and Robert "Bobby" Gorman, three sisters: Annie DeMott, Ethel Carmin, and Maxine Masoner, five brothers: Lonnie, Russell, Bert, Eugene and Charles Krull. Edna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Rosann Alexander, a son, Patrick Gorman, a brother Lloyd Krull, ten grandchildren: Melissa, Michael, Justin, Travis and Chad Gorman, Amber Alexander, Shelly Gorman, Sherri Hamm, and Tracy and Shea Gorman, and five great grandchildren: Ashton, Rhian, Reese, Kinze, and Britain. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday February 1, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM Thursday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will follow from 5:30 to 7 PM.
