Edra Harper

Edra J. Harper, age 68 of La Cygne, Kansas passed away September 28, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri.  Edra was born the daughter of Edward T. and Myrna June Higgins Harper on August 22, 1952 at Butler, Missouri.  She spent several years as a custodian with the Shawnee Mission school district, retiring earlier this year.  Edra was an avid reader, loved playing card games, sitting on the deck watching the squirrels and birds, but most of all she loved being with her family and visiting.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Stanley Ray Harper.  Edra is survived by a brother, Edward Harper, three nephews, Shane Harper (Susan), Stanley R. Harper (Angie) and Donald Harper, one niece, Angela Elder, five great nieces, Victoria Harper, Lainey Harper, Jaylee Harper, Tabitha Elder and Alyssa Elder, and six great nephews, Jeffrey Harper, Gage Harper, Tanner Harper, Maisen Harper, Maddox Harper and Ethan Elder.  She will be missed dearly by her family.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 2nd, at the Virginia Cemetery.  The family suggest contributions to The Shriners and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 304 La Cygne, Kansas 66040.  Arrangements:  Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel.
