George Kluge Jr.

George Ernest Kluge, Jr. age 73, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Thursday March 13, 2014. He was born January 18, 1941 at Kansas City, Kansas the son of Virgil Thomas and Heloise Ellington. He was raised by his mother and adopted father, George Kluge Sr. He married Barbara Johnson on July 4, 1981. He worked as an extrusion operator for Sealright. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Timothy. He is survived by his wife Barbara, children: Greg and Scott and Melanie Kluge, step children Darren Lawrenz and Laura Ann Lawrenz-Brown, brother Kurt Kluge, half brothers, Virgil and Willard Thomas, half sisters, April Mohler and Regina O''Haro, step sister Doris Wempe, grandchildren: Delaney, Chance, Skylar, Jordan, Casey, Anna, Tonya, Jett, Kaitlyn and Megann, and great grandchildren: Makayla, Olivia, Teegan, Rayna and Alayna. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 PM Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Memorial service will be held 2 PM, Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Porter Funeral Home and Crematory, Kansas City, Kansas Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Care to Share.
