Georgia Louise Crisler, 95, of La Cygne, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Rosewood Health and Rehabilitation Center, Independence, Missouri. Louise was born February 16, 1922 in Flues, Colorado to Arthur Leonard and Ruth Elizabeth (Hensley) Conley. She attended schools in Colorado, Fairview, and graduated from Parker High School. On June 6, 1940 Louise married her childhood sweetheart and schoolmate, Laurence Jay Crisler at Nevada, Missouri. They shared many joys during their 57 years of marriage. Louise and Jay and their two sons, Larry and Bobby Joe moved to Liberty, MO in 1952. Louise retired as a clerk from Farmland Industries, Kansas City, MO in 1982 after 26 years. Louise enjoyed reading, and cheering on her Royals and Chiefs. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Crisler on June 24, 1997; one son, Larry Crisler on July 11, 2001; two brothers, Earl Conley and Arthur Leonard Conley, Jr.; and one sister, Marjorie Prentice. Survivors include one son, Bobby Joe Crisler (Elaine), Liberty, MO; three sisters, Eva (John) Frazee, La Cygne, Marian (Jack) Hayes, Nevada, MO, Leola (Ira) Mundell, Pleasanton; sister-in-law, Anita Conley, Shawnee Mission, KS; four grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and many friends. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Schneider Funeral Homes and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time. Burial will be in Cadmus Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to One Community Hospice in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 304, La Cygne, KS 66040.
