Gerald Eric "Jerry" Greenwell, age 46, La Cygne, Kansas passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was born on March 31, 1971 at Kansas City, Kansas. He was a veteran proudly serving his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the NRA and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a talented gun smith. He designed and patented a trigger called the G Trig. He was preceded in death his father, James Greenwell. He is survived by his wife, Alicia Richey, mother, Shirly Joyce, son, Christopher Greenwell, five daughters: Marissa Turner, Jessica Swisher, Samantha Swisher, Alexandria Knight, and Abigail Knight, a sister, Stephanie Moore and a grand daughter, Milla. Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, May 1, 2017 at the La Cygne Christian Church. Graveside service will be held 12:30 pm at the Fort Scott National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the Schneider Funeral Home La Cygne Chapel.
