Hazel Farmer, age 71 of La Cygne, Kansas passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at her home. She was born October 16, 1935 in Hoffman, Oklahoma the daughter of Sterling Brown Herriman, III and Elsie Watts. She married Lonnie Farmer on June 28, 1952 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They celebrated 54 years together. In addition to being a mother and housewife, she worked as an inspector in quality control for King Radio for 18 years. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie, of the home, a son, Ron Farmer and wife Mary Beth of Gardner, Kansas, one daughter Peggy June Elliott and husband, Jerry, of Wellsville, Kansas, four sisters, Dessa Alvea of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wilma Stark of Canton, Texas, Lois Estep of Plattsburg, Kansas, Bernice Wooten of Valley Center, Kansas, 4 grandchildren, Brian and Brent Elliott, Andrew and Benjamin Farmer, 4 great grandchildren, Gage and Wyatt Elliott, Christopher Goin and Melissa Hutsell.. She is preceded in death by a brother, Oswald Herriman. Funeral services will be 1 P.M.. Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, La Cygne, Kansas with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
