Jack Heald

Jack Duane Heald, 80, of LaCygne, Kansas, died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Kindred Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born June 30, 1926 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Everett and Vera King Heald. He married Carol Long on November 15, 1958 at the Methodist Church in Jingo, Kansas. Jack was a machinist with P&M Coal Company in LaCygne, prior to retirement. He served his country with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the New Lancaster United Methodist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Heald. Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home; three sons, Mark & wife Janelle of Overland Park, Kansas; Scott & wife, Sherri of Lawrence, Kansas and Keith & wife Patricia of LaCygne, Kansas; and three granddaughters, Amanda, Heather and Tiffany. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 20, 2006 at New Lancaster United Methodist Church. Contributions are suggested to the church. Interment will be in New Lancaster Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, LaCygne, Kansas.
