Jack Rutledge

Jack C. Rutledge, age 81, of Prescott, Kansas died April 5, 2017 at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home. Jack was born November 2, 1935 the son of Claude and Meryl Rankin Rutledge in Prescott, Kansas. Jack obtained a Bachelor''s degree in teaching from Pittsburg State University and taught in Hermitage, Missouri for some years, he also worked many years at Key Industries and retired from there. He married Mildred French who preceded him in death, later in life he married Mary Bruce Dulaney who also preceded him in death. Jack loved fishing, gardening, listening to music, watching television and also teasing the nurses at the nursing home. He also was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Prescott Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Prescott Country View Nursing Home in care of the funeral home and may be mailed to Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 525 Pleasanton, Kansas 66075. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
