James Amer

James L. "Jim" Amer, age 73, Mound City, Kansas died Friday March 14, 2008 at St Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on October 24, 1934 at Mound City, Kansas the son of Lawrence and Beulah Johnson Amer. He married Rose Darlene Christopher on January 31, 1960. He worked for the Kansas Highway Department for twenty plus years. Most importantly he loved to ranch with his wife Darlene. He was preceded in death by a son James Brent Amer, a brother John Amer, and a sister Betty Steinshower. He is survived by his wife Darlene of the home, two sons, Butch Amer and wife Amy of Rosepine, Louisiana, and Kevin Amer and wife Jackie of Mound City, Kansas, one sister Barbara Yoos of Nevada, Missouri and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday March 17, 2008 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Prescott Cemetery.
