James Newport

James Franklin "Jim" Newport, age 86, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021.  He was born in Carrollton, Missouri on September 23, 1934 the son of Richard and Nellie Marie Trusty Newport.  Jim worked as a farmer, dairyman and boilermaker as a member of the Boilermakers Union Local #83.  He was united in marriage to Joann DeBolt on December 6, 1953.  Jim lived for and loved all his family very much.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Jim is survived by his wife, Joann, sons, Bob Newport(Belinda), Daryl Newport(Nora), Randy Newport(Christine), Marty Newport(Vicki), and Chris Newport(Shelly), three daughters, Patricia Dunn, Marcella Hampson(Dean), and Susan Ford(Mike), a sister, Twannette Nickell, twenty three grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
