Jennifer Shaw

Jennifer Jo (Stevens) Shaw, 38, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Friday March 17, 2017 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. Jennifer was born January 29, 1979 at Lawton, Oklahoma on the Fort Sill Army Base to Virgil and Brenda (Kurtz) Stevens. Jennifer graduated from Olathe North High School in Olathe and worked for several years as a manager of a Salvation Army Thrift Store. She married Jason Shaw on March 15, 1999. He survives. Jennifer''s dedication to her church and her community was well known. She was an accomplished photographer and a very creative person. Jennifer loved all children and enjoyed being room mother for her four children where she was known for turning every day events into extraordinary experiences. Jennifer was preceded in death by one son, Travis Shaw on November 20, 2001, and her mother, Brenda Stevens on July 21, 2005. Jennifer is survived by two sons, Isaac and Nicholas Shaw; two daughters, Gracie and Emily Shaw; two sisters, Crystal Stevens and Gina Faulkner; and her father, Virgil Stevens. A funeral service for Jennifer will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Schneider Funeral Homes and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. A visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 24, 2017. Burial will be in Pleasanton Cemetery beside her son.
