Joseph Robert Decker "Pecker", age 67, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Friday July 16, 2021. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 22, 1953 the son of Eugene and Marguerite Carnnahan Decker. Joe made a living in the recycling industry. He enjoyed fishing, raising pigs and chickens, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Clark Decker, parents, three sons, Ricky Hobbs, Billy Counterman and Michael Counterman, a daughter Dolly Butler and two grandchildren, Megan Butler and Brandon Workman a sister Wendy Woods and a brother Daniel Decker. He is survived by five sons, Tuffy Decker, Lester Hobbs, Danny Hobbs, David Hobbs, and John Counterman, three daughters, Nova Dines, Sandy Keating, and Pam Hughey, five brothers, Butch Decker, Mike Carnnahan, Bill Decker and Scott Woods, four sisters, Gena Decker, Denise Decker, Wendy Woods and Cheryl Woods, numerous grand and great grandchildren extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, June 24, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Salem Cemetery, Foster, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Pleasanton Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Joe Decker Memorial Fund, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
