Kenneth Boone, age 83, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at his home. He was born in La Cygne on October 14, 1933 the son of Irvin and Esther Croghan Boone. He served his country during the Korean War as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He was married to Audrey Lehmer on August 16, 1958. Kenny worked for Bendix which became Allied Signal which became Honeywell. He was a member of the Machinist Union Local #314. He enjoyed riding mules, gardening, fishing, coon hunting and working with wood. But, the love for his family came before all of these. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronnie and Jerry Boone, and five sisters: Esther, Waneta, Wanda, Jo, and Sally. Kenney is survived by his wife, Audrey, son Kenny Dan Boone and Tammy Parker and Kenny Dan''s son Nathan and Jill, his daughter Megan Storey and her husband Jake and their son Jackson; a daughter, Dianna Stainbrook and husband Dan, their daughter Jessica Boyd and her husband Matt and their children Chandler, Nolan, Gage and Harper and their daughter Marci Young and husband Jason; a daughter, Christy Cutshaw, and her daughter Miranda Wollard and Josh and their children Jaxson and Jasper, and Christy''s daughter Laurie Campbell; a brother, Daniel Boone, and a sister, Cathy Miller. Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Schneider LaCygne Chapel. The family suggests contributions the Olathe Hospice or Stowers Institute..
