Kenneth A. (Pete) McBride, 77, of Kearney, MO went to be with the Lord on Nov. 16th 2018. Kenneth was born January 1, 1941 in Fulton, KS to Floyd McBride and Mabel Collins McBride and was the youngest of 8.
He graduated Fulton High School in 1958 and enlisted in Army. He served 4 years in Germany. He still has lifetime friends he made while serving his country. He married Donna Clayton on Oct. 7th 1962. They have 3 sons; Mitchell (Rita), Matthew (Marla) and Monte. Pete and Donna just celebrated 56 years of marriage. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 43 years; starting out on the assembly line then Supervisor and Chassis Launch Team Coordinator for three different automobiles, traveling all over the world.

He is survived by his wife Donna of the home; his three sons and their wives; 5 grandchildren, Megan DeShazo(Lance), Kodi Webb, Colby McBride, Cullen McBride and Ridge McBride; and one great grandson Jaxon DeShazo. He is also survived by one sister-in-law Beverly McBride, wife to Don, of Fort Scott, KS. He had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wayne, Harold, Velma, Dwight, Wilma, Leon, and Don; niece, Linda Andes; nephew Gary McBride, David Crown and Dana Crown.
Ken was an avid quail hunter and bass fisherman and loved his farm where he could grow tomatoes and sweet corn. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 19 from 6:00-7:30 at Community Covenant Church in Kearney, MO. Memorial Service will be held Tues. Nov. 20 at 11:00, also at the church. Graveside services will be held at the Timberhill Cemetery, 2275 105th St., Mapleton, KS at 3:00 pm after the memorial service. Donations may be made to Community Covenant Church, 1820 S. Jefferson, Kearney, MO 64060 or TimberHill Cemetery Township, 2275 105th St., Mapleton, KS 66754. Graveside service arrangements are under the direction of Schneider Funeral Homes and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
