Kenny Chase, age 58, Centerville, Kansas passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home in rural Centerville. He was born on March 31, 1958 at Garnett, Kansas. He graduated from Prairie View High School, where he loved to play football, and track. He was employed by Phillips Pipeline for many years. Kenny loved to hunt, fish, work cattle, ride his horse, Warrior, but most of all he loved his family. It was important to Kenny to attend not only kids and grandkids events, but kids of friends as well. He was involved in Free Masonry, he achieved 32nd Degree Mason, Past Master and also Past District Deputy Grand Master, as a member of the Parker Lodge #341. Kenny and Susan Parlett were married on May 28, 2011 and made their home in Centerville. He was preceded in death by his father, Kermit Chase. Kenny is survived by his wife, Susan, mother, Lavonne Chase of Centerville, son Myron Chase and wife Amy of Lenexa, daughter Mandy Faucett and husband Keith of Collinsville, OK, a stepson Todd Nilges and wife Deanne, step daughter Lisa Hughes and husband Keith, a brother, Tuff Hemreck, and five sisters, Dorothy Zinnert, Rudee Gourley, Connie Hemreck, Sandy Vitro and Marjorie Dodson and three grandchildren, Parker Chase and Hank and Kayleigh Faucett. Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Centerville Community Church. A horseback funeral procession will take place from the church to Centerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, December 16 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Frontal Temporal Dementia Association.
