Laura Denise Valentine, age 45, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was born on June 8, 1973 in West Plains, Missouri the daughter of Johnny and Wanda Maddox Bates. She worked in housekeeping for the hotel industry. She was preceded in death by her father. Laura is survived by two sons, Alexander and Roger Jones; her mother, Wanda Charley; two brothers, Johnnie and Roger Bates; two sisters, Yolanda Medley and Lavonda Santamoore; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Pleasanton Church of the Nazarene. Contributions are suggested to the Laura Valentine Memorial Fund c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 525, Pleasanton, KS 66075. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
