Leon Hester

Leon Hester, age 64, Hume, Missouri passed away on Monday May 8, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 26, 1953 at Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Herbert and Ellen Cummins Hester. He graduated from Pleasanton High School and Fort Scott Community College. Leon was an entrepreneur. He owned several different business during his career. The most recent were, Hill Street Recycling, Hester Roll Offs and Sisters and Friends Cafe. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Kathy, step children: Michael McCulley, Ginger Neal-Cox, Amy Staton and Amber Staton, two brothers, Gerald Hester and Wayne Hester, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm Wednesday May 10 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Service will be held following visitation at 7 pm.
