Lois Bowman

Lois Mae Bowman, age 79, Hume, Missouri passed away on Thursday October 3, 2013. She was born at Fort Scott, Kansas on January 2, 1934 the daughter of Willis and Goldie Millard Bowman. She graduated from Hume High School and attended business school. She worked as a nursing home administrator and retired from Mercy Hospital after over twenty five years of service. She was a member of the Hume Christian Church, Sisters of Mercy, and Secret Sisters. She will be remembered as a kind and giving person. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Lester. She is survived by her sister Martha Coomes and Jack of Pittsburg, Kansas, nephew Jim Coomes, niece Brenda Amerin and John, great niece Lauren Amerin and great nephew J.T. Amerin, and a special friend Eustrus Barnes. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday October 6, 2013 at the Hume Christian Church. Burial in the East Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 PM until service time at the church. The family suggests contributions to the Prescott Country View Activity Fund or Hume Christian Church.
