Lola Jacobson

Lola Margaret Jacobson, age 89, of La Cygne, Kansas died Tuesday October 15, 2013 at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home. She was born on November 4, 1923 at Choteau, Oklahoma, the daughter of Alva and Carrie McCleery Dale. She married Melvin Jacobson on February 14, 1946 at Ontario, California, he preceded her in death on January 20, 1986. Lola worked as an Assembler for Intercollegiate Press and King Radio. She loved to fish, read, watch western movies, play games, Sonic chili dogs and especially spending time with her grandkids. Lola was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Larry Jacobson in 1969, three brothers: Melvin, Larry, and Alvin Dale; and three sisters: Marie Spence, Clara Mae Sallaz, and Opal Wallman. She is survived by three sons: Dale Jacobson and Jan of Parker, Kansas, Melvin Jacobson and Janice of Centralia, Missouri, and Bill Jacobson and Lynda of Overland Park,Kansas; two daughters: Debbie Ryan and Jim of La Cygne, Kansas, and Christine Durdee and Bob of Linn Valley, Kansas, 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:0 am Saturday October 19, 2013 at the Prairie Home Cemetery near La Cygne. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to service time at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory La Cygne Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Prescott Country View Nursing Home of Mercy Hospice and may be left in C/O the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O. 304 La Cygne, Kansas 66040.
