Loren Wilson Sr.

Loren Charles Wilson Sr., 87, of Blue Mound, Kansas, died Monday, December 01, 2008 at Chanute Healthcare Center, Chanute, Kansas. He was born July 8, 1921 in Mapleton, Kansas, the son of Charles and Bertha White Wilson. He served his country with the Army Air Corp during World War II. He married Amber "Ann" Kriegeskotte on November 13, 1945 at Carthage, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2007. He owned and operated Wilson Service in Blue Mound, Kansas prior to his retirement. Loren was a member of the Federated Church of Blue Mound; the American Legion, serving as past commander, Lions Club and had also served on the Blue Mound City Council. He was preceded in death also by his parents, one brother, Ralph Wilson and one sister, Catherine Webb. Survivors include one son, Loren Wilson Jr. & Roberta of Chanute, Kansas; one daughter, Sue Ann O'Flannagan & Terry of Brookville, Kansas; one brother, Raymond Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sisters, Mary Lawrence of Monett, Missouri; Shirley Miller of Westphalia, Kansas; Rosa Jane Sutterby of Blue Mound, Kansas and Addie Josephine Riley of Mound City, Kansas; four grandchildren; Loren Charles Wilson & Kara, Tasha Steele & Gary, Joellen Lawrence and Colin O'Flannagan; four great grandchildren, Justin & Jessica Rossillon and Shyla & Barbie Lawrence and many nieces & nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Blue Mound Federated Church, Blue Mound, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church. Contributions are suggested to the Blue Mound Federated Church. Interment will be in the Mapleton Cemetery, Mapleton, Kansas. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com.
