Luedith Lewis

Luedith Mae Lewis, age 76, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021.  She was born in Tyler, Texas on February 6, 1945 the daughter of Robert and Patricia Edwards.  Most of her childhood she was raised by her father and Anna Edwards.  She proudly served her country in the Women's Army Corp(WAC).  During her working career, she was a nurse.  She was a member of the Assembly of God Church where she was very involved especially in caring for children in the nursery.  She liked John Wayne and Josh Turner.  Luedith was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jim and John, and a sister, Barbara.  Luedith is survived by two daughters, Lenna Lewis and Teresa Lewis, two brothers, Claude Bob Edwards(Janet), Darrell Edwards(Dolah), six grandchildren, Tasha, Angela, Alesha, Amber, Andria and Steve, and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 10 am to service time.  A committal service will be held 12:30 pm at Fort Scott National Cemetery.  Contributions are suggested to help pay for funeral expense.  They can be sent to, Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
