Madeline Mathews

MADELINE MATHEWS Madeline Mathews, 76, of Fulton, Kansas, died Monday, July 24, 2006 at her home. She was born July 27, 1929 at Desoto, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Lizzie Pritchard Baker. She married Harold Mathews on June 23, 1951 at Raton, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2004. She was employed as a telephone operator with Craw Kan Telephone Company prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Community Christian Church at Fort Scott, Kansas and the Rural Letter Carrier's Auxilary. She was preceded in death also by one son, Rickie Steven Mathews and several brothers & sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Breuel of Fulton, Kansas and Vickie Mathews of Topeka, Kansas; three sisters, Susie Thomas of Des Moines, Iowa, Sarah Parkenson of Denver, Colorado and Lueta Baker of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Jamie, Jodie & Jacob and five great grandchildren, Jessie, Wyatt, Josie, Garrett & Sarah. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 27, 2006 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Mound City.
