Margaret Berglund

Margaret Mae Berglund, 87, of Stilwell, Kansas, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Prescott Countryview Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. She was born July 15, 1921 in Junction City, Kansas, the daughter of Jesse and Velma Strahan King. She graduated from Shawnee Mission High School. Margaret married Daryl Berglund on March 1, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2007. She was a member of the Stanley Bible Church, the Blue Valley Quilters Guild and the Silver Blades Ice Skating Club. Margaret was a homemaker and farm wife as well as working for the Johnson County Assessors Office in Olathe, Kansas. She was preceded in death also by three brothers, Donald, Kenneth and Wendell King and one granddaughter, Sherry Smith. Survivors include two sons; David Berglund and Pat of LaCygne, Kansas and Tim Berglund and Carol of Gretna, Nebraska and twelve grandchildren; Steve Berglund, Paula Caldwell, Lisa Meyer, Kellie, Christie and Robbie Berglund, Jacob and Katie Berglund, Wes and Elaine Caldwell, Mallory Smith and Molly Meyer. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Stanley Bible Church, Stanley, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Contributions are suggested to the Blue Valley Quilters Club. The committal service will be at 2:00 PM at Star Valley Cemetery, LaCygne, Kansas.
