Marjorie Coons

Marjorie May Coons was born in Kansas City, Missouri on July 12, 1913 the daughter of Frederick and Bell May Roberts Mitchell. She passed away on November 28, 2006 in the Miller County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker most of her life but did work in various places during her working life. She loved to cook, fish, and camp and was a bird watcher. She was a member of the LaCygne United Methodist Church. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband William D. Coons, her parents, two brothers, one sister, her son Arthur Huntington and one great grandson. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Shirley Huntington of Crocker, Missouri, one grandson Scott Huntington, one granddaughter Teresa Helton, one great granddaughter Abigail all of Crocker, Missouri, one step son Joe Coons of Colorado, five step grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law in California. Marge was a kind and loving person and was one of the best cooks when you went to her house for a meal. She will be sadly missed by all who lover her. Memorial services will be 2 PM Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, LaCygne, Kansas. No visitation is planned. Cremation with private inurnment.
