Marjorie Stainbrook

Marjorie Aileen Stainbrook, age 86, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born near Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of George Loyd and Florence Louise Hougland Royer. She graduated from La Cygne High School in the Class of 1950 She married James Stainbrook on February 28, 1951 at the La Cygne United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2015. Marjorie was a member of the La Cygne United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and a 4-H Leader. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Marjorie is survived by two sons; Steve Stainbrook and wife, Cathy, Dan Stainbrook and wife, Dianna; two daughters; Sondra DelaCruz and husband, Tom, and LeighAn Cragwall and husband, Carl; three sisters: Ruth Funk, Jeanne Driskell, and Linda Marcum; nine grandchildren: Brad Stainbrook, Jason Stainbrook, Dustin Brinkman, Jessica Boyd, Jenna Shields, Marci Young, Brett Brinkman, Wesley Cragwall and Kari Cragwall; and twelve great grandchildren: Braxton Stainbrook, Rian Stainbrook, Chandler Boyd, Nolan Boyd, Gage Boyd, Harper Boyd, Waylon Stainbrook, Emory Stainbrook, Abby Brinkman, Alex Brinkman, Colin Shields, and Claire Shields. Funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the La Cygne United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Contributions are suggested to Library District #2 or the Stainbrook Foundation.
