Paul Edward Woolston

Feb 17, 1947 — Sep 7, 2026

Paul Edward Woolston, 79, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on September 7, 2026. He was born on February 17, 1947, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Ed and Maybelle Woolston.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970, including nine months of service in Vietnam. His dedication and service to his country were an important part of his life, and his family is proud of the sacrifice he made.

Paul was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his three children: Teresa Brown and her husband, Stephen; Richard Woolston and his wife, Staci; and Crystal Moore.

He is also survived by his ten grandchildren: Heather Kelley and her husband, Derek; Kaelee Richardson and her husband, Dylan; Gage Brown and his wife, Claire; Hailey Woolston; Mallory Hiebert and her husband, Zach; Tanner Woolston; Parker Woolston; Destiny Chadwick and her husband, Kyle; Tori Taylor; and Kaleb Moore.

Paul was blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Montana Kelley, Coraline Kelley, Ava Beck, Preston Richardson, Paitun Richardson, Adlee Chadwick, Kamdyn Taylor, Kyson Beaty, and Kalayah Crussell, with another great granddaughter on the way.

Paul is also survived by his brothers, Robert Woolston and his wife, Vickie, and David Woolston and his wife, Jane.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Maybelle Woolston.

Paul had a sweet tooth and especially loved his chocolate Tootsie Pops and Taffy. There was one very important rule when it came to his candy: you could have any other flavor, but you better

not ask for his chocolate Tootsie Pops! Those were his, and he definitely did not like to share them. It was one of those little things that made Paul who he was and a memory his family will always remember with a smile.

Paul’s greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind and the memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, brother, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A service celebrating Paul’s life will be held September 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City, Kansas.

Paul’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the stories they share, and in the many lives he touched throughout his 79 years.

Rest in peace, Paul. You served your country, loved your family, and left behind a lifetime of memories—and hopefully a few chocolate Tootsie Pops that nobody dared to take.
