Randall Banta

Randall Scott "Randy" Banta, age 55, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. He was born at Joplin, Missouri on April 13, 1963 the son of Kenneth and Marietta Medley Banta. He worked as a sales manager for Croft Trailer Supply. He married Stacy Payne on April 10, 1992. Together, they bred and showed English Bulldogs for over twenty years, raising several AKC Champions. Banta Bulldogs, is a member of the Bull Dog Club of America and also in the Bulldog Hall of Fame. Randy was a member of the Pleasanton First Baptist Church, Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department, and served on the Pleasanton City Council. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marietta, and a stepson, Brandon Stevens. Randy is survived by his wife, Stacy, two daughters; Maranda Miner and Derek, and Jennifer Banta, a stepson Jeff Stevens and Cristina, a stepdaughter, Erica Stevens; two brothers; Gary Banta and Tammy and Russ Banta and Shannon; and eight grandchildren: Ryan, Sebastian, Payton, Justin, Parker, Nathaniel, Marshall and Jakob.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Colorectal Cancer Association c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
