Robert Stocking

Robert Bernhart Stocking, 65, of Mound City, Kansas, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Olathe Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Kenneth O. and Margaret Benson Stocking. He received a BS Degree in Physics and a Masters Degree in Bio Physics. Robert was self employed as an accountant. He was a member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church and had served as Chairman of the Cook County Young Republicans and also served with the Linn County Hospital District. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two sisters, Marcia Stocking of Brookfield, Illinois and Karen Roy of Fairfax, Virginia; a nephew, Todd Roy and a niece Heather Roy. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Wall Street Christian Church, Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Friday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City. Contributions are suggested to the Wall Street Church or the Mound City Library. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Mound City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City, Kansas.
