Robert S. Tastad, age 77, of the Sugar Valley Lake Community near Mound City, Kansas passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at his home. He was born in North Dakota on October 24, 1940. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served in the American Legion and the VFW. He also volunteered at the VA Hospital in Kansas City. A day to commemorate Mr. Tastad''s service to community and country will begin Wednesday June 6, 2018 with a Visitation from 9:30 am to 10:15 am at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
