Robert Walter

Robert Lowell Walter, age 79, of the Stilwell and La Cygne, Kansas areas, passed away on February 1, 2016 at North Point in Paola, Kansas. He was born on October 16, 1936 at Iowa City, Iowa the son of Everett and Bessie Bryan Walter. He worked as a farmer and as a manager for Sealright. He married Margie Flanery on Octeober 27, 1957. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2010. Bob was a member at Stilwell Baptist and transferred to Calvary Baptist in La Cygne. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory, and six brothers: Jerry, Ray, Richard, Lyle, Glen and Doyle. He is survived by three daughters: Linda Ward, Pamela Ward, and Vicky Walter, a sister Edna Jones and several grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time at the La Cygne Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church.
