Rocky Wayne Purdy

Rocky Wayne Purdy, age 67, Mound City, Kansas passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He was born on February 19, 1958 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania the son of Robert and Dorothy Cornett Purdy. Rocky graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School. He was united in marriage to Ronda Parker. To this union, one son was born, Chad Purdy. The marriage ended in divorce. He worked as a custodian for Jayhawk USD 346 for many years. Rocky is survived by his son, Chad Purdy and Megan.

Graveside service will be held 11 am Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Woodland Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until departure for cemetery at the Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Linn County Care to Share.  Online condolences  can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
