Rodney Pease

August 28, 1958 — January 8, 2019

Rodney Dean Pease, oldest son of Harold and Norma Keith Pease of Linn Valley, Kansas passed away on January 8, 2019 at the age of sixty. He was born in Manhattan, Kansas on August 28, 1958. As a youth, he enjoyed playing football and baseball. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, Virginia. Rodney attended Northern Virginia Community College and studied horticulture. He later graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute where his major of study was auto mechanics. However, his heart was always in horticulture. Rodney moved to Kansas City and established Cardinal Tree Service, a successful landscaping and tree surgeon business. His interests included: golfing, hiking, bicycling, fishing and reading. He was particularly interested in Native American History. He played the bass guitar and had an appreciation for all genres of music. In later years, he moved to Amoret, Missouri and settled into life in a small town. Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Pease. He is survived by his mother, Norma Lee Pease, a sister, Janet Lynn Bardin and husband Randall, brothers, Randall Jay Pease and Jeffrey Scott Pease, six nephews, two nieces and other relatives.

Service, 3 pm Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Calvary Baptist Church, La Cygne, Kansas. Burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2pm until service time at the Church. Contributions are suggested to California Wildfire Reforestation Fund. https://www.nationalforests.org/donate/california-wildfire-reforestation-fund.
