Parker, Kansas

Rosalie Crisler Davis entered into the arms of her merciful Savior and Father on September 23, 2024 at the age of 96. She was the ninth child of Jesse and Coral Crisler's family of ten.  Rosalie was born and raised on the family farm west of La Cygne, KS.  She attended Fairview one room school, and a 1945 graduate of Parker High School.  On August 2, 1947, Rosalie married Willard Davis.  Their primary home was Wichita, Kansas where they raised six children.  Rosalie Spent 29 years working retail in the TG&Y Variety Stores, Disco Discount Mart and McCrory Variety Store.  Rosalie and Willard retired to Mound City, Kansas in 1991 where they lived until Willard's death in 1998.  Rosalie relocated to Houston, TX to live with a son before returning to the Parker area four years later.  Rosalie was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church before transferring her membership to the Parker United Methodist Church.  She was involved in many community organizations including the Mound City Senior Citizen Group where she delivered Meals on Wheels, worked at the Heartland Pantry and at the Concern shop.  Rosalie volunteered at the Parker United Methodist Church pantry, was a member of United Methodist Women, Loyal Workers Club, and Neighborhood Bible Study Group.  She was a life long member of the Parker Historical Museum.  Rosalie took great pleasure in her ever expanding family, and prided herself in knowing what foods each family member liked and didn't like.  Something yummy could always be found at Rosalie's, especially her cookies.  She was a flower gardener, loved her kitties, jigsaw puzzles, winning dominoes, and her country life.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading and studying her Bible.  Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, five sisters, her husband and three grandchildren.  She is survived by one stepson Jack (Anita) Oregon City, OR and her six children Betty (Gary) Shawnee, KS; Roger (Alice) Franklin, NC; Woody (Loretta) Paragould, AR; Steve, Parker, KS; Rosalie Ann (Lester) Parker, KS; Tom (Tammy) Aurora, MO; 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 27 great great grandchildren, and numerous friends and extended family.
