Ruby Shaw

Ruby Lee Shaw, 86, of Mound City, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Medicalodge Nursing Home, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born May 29, 1918 in Butler, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Edna Boren Gatlin. She was married to Chester Shaw in 1938 at the Linn County Court House. Ruby was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pleasanton, Kansas where she taught Sunday School and was involved with the choir. She was also a member of the Linn County Historical Society and helped form the Linn County Concern. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cora Lee and two sisters, Marie Hamilton and Esther Denny. Survivors include her husband, Chester"Chet" Shaw, Mound City, Kansas; one son, Ernest Lee Shaw and wife, Joyce of Lawrence, Kansas; one grandson, Troy Shaw and his fiance, Jamie; three sisters, Laveta Ward of Cheney, Kansas; Thelma Arbogast of Kansas City, Kansas and Arlene Stark of San Jose, California.
