Ruth Massey

Ruth Irene Massey, age 87, of LaCygne, Kansas died Saturday November 26, 2011 at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born May 4, 1924 at Moran, Kansas the daughter of Moyne and Bessie Smith Knapp. She worked in the mail order department at Montgomery Ward for thirty-six years before retiring in 1981. Ruth was married to Roy Massey in June of 1978. Together, they enjoyed dancing at numerous venues throughout the Midwest. She was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Yost. She is survived by her husband Roy Massey of LaCygne, one brother Ray Knapp, four sisters: Lorene Likely, Marjorie Klimek, Elda Konrady, and Ruby Knapp, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held 1PM Tuesday November 29, 2011 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaCygne, Kansas.
