Stanley Giles

Stanley Lee Giles, age 69, of Linn Valley, Kansas died Wednesday February 10, 2010. He was born on January 17, 1941 at Muskegon, Michigan the son of Melvel and Marth Zuidema Giles. He graduated from Santa Cruz Valley High School in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was an Air Force Veteran. He married Fran Watson on April 17, 1965 in Phoenix, Arizona. He worked as service manager for Good Year for seventeen years. He and Fran moved to Linn Valley fourteen years ago from Johnson County. He was currently Chief of the Linn Valley Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Super Senior Golf Association at Linn Valley. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Fran of the home, a son, Robert Giles and Laura of Cincinnati, Ohio, his mother, Martha Giles, of Roseville, California, a grandson Brenden Giles, and a sister Sandra Marcello of Citrus Heights, California. Memorial Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Saturday February 27, 2010 at the Linn Valley Community Church. Private inurnment will be in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
