Thomas S. Keough, age 95, of Amsterdam, Missouri died Sunday December 10, 2006 at Adrian Manor. He was born in Ankly, Iowa the son of Thomas and Loretta Keough. He put himself through trade school; learning the trade of electric motor rewinding. He married Eleanor Preston Lang on July 18, 1942. They had several residences until 1957; at which time Tom went to work at Bendix, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and also had his own motor rewinding business in Grandview. He retired in 1976 and moved to Mound City, Kansas. He and Eleanor moved back to the Amsterdam and Adrian area in 1993. Tom lived a long and good life residing at his home until a stroke on November 29. He enjoyed watching his soap opera, reading and music. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas J., brothers; Bill, Jim, Cliff and Joe, sisters, Mary Morrisey and Loretta Long and two half brother Bob Anders and Carl Chapman. He is survived by Eleanor, his wife of sixty-four years, and children: Don Keough of Key West, Florida, John Keough and wife Carla of Butler, Missouri, Janet Chambers and husband Jim of Amsterdam, Missouri and Charles Keough of Merwin, Missouri; one step daughter Karen Siebers and husband Bob of Wyoming, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren; a half brother Kenny Chapman and many nieces and nephews. Gravesided funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday December 12, 2006 at the West Point Cemetery near Amsterdam. The family suggests contributions to the West Point Cemetery.
