Warren Graham, 91, of Mound City, Kansas, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the North Point nursing home in Paola, Kansas. Warren was born March 2, 1917, in Gering, Nebraska, to his parents Tolbert H. and Verda E. (Kelly) Graham. After moving to northwest Arkansas as a young boy he was raised among a beloved group of 29 cousins in northwest Arkansas. Warren married Lois E Truax on February 23, 1939, in Cassville, Missouri. They were married 64 years; she preceded him in death in May 2003. Warren worked as a brakeman and conductor for the St. Louis San Francisco (Frisco) Railway for over forty years. He is a lifetime member of the United Transportation Union. He retired in May 1977. Warren was an active member of the Federated Church of Mound City. Warren was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lois Graham; his grandson Nick Houtman; and two sisters Beth Kendrick and June Hyatt. He is survived by four daughters and their husbands: Mary Frances and Mark Kinderman of Lake Arrowhead, California; Judy and Ken Houtman of Mound City, Kansas; Lynn and Carl Schneider of Tonganoxie, Kansas; and Janel and Cliff Mosley of Kansas City, Kansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Anne and Will Prouty of Buena Park, California; Elaine Houtman and Clark Byron of Gladstone, Missouri; Michelle and Craig Aaron of Lake Arrowhead, California; Jeffrey and Helen Mosley of Simi Valley, California; Kathy Houtman of Paola, Kansas; Annique and Deano Ishizaka of Riverside, California; Eric and Roberta Schneider of Greenwood, Indiana; Andrew and Abbey Mosley of Lawrence, Kansas; James Kinderman of Lake Arrowhead, California; and Stacy Schneider of Tonganoxie, Kansas. Ten great-grandchildren also survive: Sarah Carvalho (and husband Amer Jabar), Abigail Inman, Ben Houtman, Connor Mosley, Graham Mosley, Samantha Wilson, Sydney Aaron, Taylor Mosley, Nicole Schneider, and Aidan Schneider. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, A.J. Truax of Ottawa, Kansas, and Bernard Hyatt of Charlestown, Arkansas, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Federated Church, Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Thursday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City.
