Wesley Whitson

Wesley Elmer Whitson, age 80 of Pleasanton, Kansas died Wednesday March 9, 2011 at the Fountain Villa in Iola, Kansas. He was born on October 26, 1930 in Farlinville, Kansas the son of Orie and Ellen Gertrude Graham Whitson. Wes retired from military duty with the United States Army. After retiring from the military he worked for the Mound City Vault Company and then for HUD housing in Pleasanton. He also in enjoyed going for rides and eating out. Wes was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sister; Orie Ellen Whitson of Mound City, Kansas and Ella May Norman of Moran, Kansas, two nephews Tommie and Melvin Norman, and Six nieces Susie and Connie Jackman, Lutretia Dudley, Beverly Covey, Alice Adams and Carol Ericson. Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday March 15, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider funeral Home Pleasanton, Kansas. Burial will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery.
