Wilbur Louis King

Wilbur Louis King, age 92, Kansas City, Kansas passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024.  He was born in Kansas City, Kansas the son of James and Goldie Hawk King.  He was a truck driver early in his working career.  While making a stop at a local diner he met his future bride, Earlene Willcut.  The two were united in marriage on September 8, 1956.  Most of his working career was spent managing service stations.  Later in life he did small engine and lawn mower repair.  He attended Stony Point Baptist Church and was a collector of toys, mostly cars and trucks.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pam Sumners, a grandson, Matthew, and eight siblings, Bud, Marion, Joseph, Harold, Richard, Frances, Sara, and Goldie.  Wilbur is survived by his wifie, Earlene, a daughter, Susan Ginger, two sons, Michael King and wife Connie, and Terry King and wife Donna, numerous grand and great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.  

A funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 10 am to service time at the Pleasanton Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Stony Point Baptist Church.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
