William L. Baudendistel, 78, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born February 13, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Rossler and Clara Brockman Baudendistel. He married Helen Ebert on September 25, 1970 in Denver, Colorado. He was employed with the City and County of Denver, Colorado as a civil engineer. He was a member of the Montclaire Lutheran Church in Denver, the Masonic Lodge, Park Hill #138, Lions Club, VFW and American Legion, all of Denver, Colorado and the Byers Masonic Lodge of Byers, Colorado. He was retired from the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Charles Baudendistel. Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home; six sons, Jon Charles Baudendistel, Tim Rohl, David Mark Baudendistel, Thomas Lee Baudendistel, Steven Ross Baudendistel, and Alexander Ochs; three daughters, Alice Anne Price, Elizabeth Diane Scritchfield and Dawn Elaine Haggins; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mr. Baudendistel was cremated and will be inurned at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Ft. Logan, Colorado. There are no formal services.
