Willis Dingus

Willis Albert Dingus, 90, of Park City, Kansas, formerly of Mound City, Kansas, died Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Allen County Hospital, Iola, Kansas. He was born May 14, 1915 in Mound City, Kansas, the son of Ben and Hattie McCulley Dingus. He married Bonnie Baughn who preceded him in death on January 6, 2000. Prior to retirement, Willis was employed with Boeing as a modification mechanic and also owned Dingus Clock Repair. He was a a World War II veteran, serving with the USAF. He was preceded in death also by one son, Albert Dingus. Survivors include two grandchildren, Bret Dingus and Renee Kennedy; two great grandchildren, Cheryl Kennedy and Crystal Morris; a nephew, Charles Smith, cousin, Charles Jones and other extended family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at the Woodland Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas. No formal visitation. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
