Gerald Allison

Gerald Lee "Jerry" Allison, age 83, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023.  He was born in Independence, Missouri on October 15, 1939.  He was preceded in death his mother, Lucille Reed and Wesley Louis "Bud" Smith.   He graduated from Blue Springs High School.  Jerry was united in marriage to Charlene Courtois on November 12, 1960.  He was a member of the Pleasanton First Baptist Church.  Jerry and Charlene enjoyed many different genres of music, performing karaoke before karaoke was around.  He was a talented artists with many different interests, including, pen and ink, stained glass and painting.  He and Charlene loved gardening, and had a big garden for many years.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Everett "Joe" Allison, Paul Allison, William "Buddy" Smith, and Lee Smtih.  Jerry is survived by his wife, Charlene, two daughters, Teresa Cunningham(Page) and Leigh Ann Winnard, a son Chuck Allison(Shannon), six grandchildren, Alicia Phillips(Mark Smith), Anthony Harrison(Trista Meyers), Matthew Larimer, and Justin, Chloe and Levi Allison, thirteen great grandchildren and one great granddaughter expected later this summer.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 1 pm to service time at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Following the visitation, the funeral service will begin at 2 pm at the Pleasanton Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
